Meat consumption in the EU will decline in the next 10 years

According to the European Commission (EC), meat consumption in the EU will fall by 1.1 kilograms and reach 67.6 kg in 2030.
Pork production in the EU is expected to decline by 1 million tonnes (-4.6%) between 2020 and 2030 as the African swine fever (ASF) crisis in Asia ends. However, the EU will remain the leading supplier of pork to the world market.
